Sound x Movement, Body

Dancers! By Bud Blumenthal (American-born choreographer, artist) is an interactive database of video footage bringing together nearly two hundred professional dancers from around the world, from different styles and technique. Accompanied by music of his choice, each dancer evolves in precise setting over a fixed duration of two minutes and in a defined technical and scenic device.

Lullaby was used for a dance performance featuring many dancers, including Bud Blumenthal.

Hear and Draw  // workshop for everyone

Traces of Sound is a workshop in which participants listen to sound or music and draw, directly on paper, the lines and forms that emerge from the memories and images that arise within them, as well as from the spontaneous movements of the body.

Participants are free to use any tools they wish — pens, coloured pencils, markers, or anything else they can reach for.

Art is also an instinctive and creative act of expression, unique to each of us.

Here, there is no right or wrong way to draw. No artistic skill is required, and age does not matter.

Using sound as a tool, participants are invited to freely explore the sensations that emerge between Sound x image, and to discover the deeply creative joy of expressing something of their own.

From listening to sound, to image.

From image, to line and form.

And from line and form, to one’s own expression.

In this space, different senses meet and intersect, giving rise to a place of freedom — a space where something new can emerge.

*Why Hear & Draw, Now? One of the questions we are increasingly confronted with today is **connection**. Connection with others. Connection with society. And connection with ourselves. Why, then, is expression important? I believe that to express something is also **to affirm our own existence**. To recognise what arises within us and give it a form of its own can nurture a sense of self-acceptance — and, in turn, deepen our connection with others and our respect for one another. Hear & Draw begins not by trying to understand sound, but by **feeling it**. Listen. Feel. And give form to what arises within. In a world filled with ever-increasing external stimulation, we can easily lose touch with the quiet sensations unfolding inside us. Hear & Draw offers a gentle space to return to that inner experience — to listen, to feel, and to express freely through **Sound + Image**. Perhaps, through this small act of expression, we can rediscover a connection with ourselves, and with those around us.

*Hear & Draw was born from a personal experience. For a period of my life, I stepped away from classical music. During that time, while teaching at a music academy, I took part in a seminar on improvisation. It was a revelation. Until then, I had expressed music through interpretation — engaging with scores and giving form to music written by great composers. Improvisation was different. I was creating sounds from within myself, and through this process, I became deeply aware of how different inner sensations — auditory, visual, psychological and physical — could interact and shape one another. I discovered a clear sense of colour in what I heard, and began to feel how sound could evoke bodily responses, which in turn influenced the sounds I created and the way I expressed them. Hearing → sensing → moving → creating → expressing. For the first time, I experienced this process so clearly. And, unexpectedly, the tension I had often felt while performing disappeared. In its place was a profound sense of stillness. I became curious about these subtle, almost imperceptible sensations — how sound could become image, and how an inner experience could become expression. I wanted to find a simple way for others to experience something of this process. I began with the most direct connection: Sound + Image. And from this exploration, Hear & Draw was born.

Waraku  // space for meditation

Waraku is a unique musical experience rooted in the spirit of harmony, nature and improvisation.

Inspired by Japanese concept of "WA" (harmony) and "RAKU" (music/joy), this event invites listeners to

reconnect with nature through sound. In Waraku , nature is not just a backdrop - it is an active collaborator.

Waraku offers meditative concert sensorial. The audience is invited to sit or lie down, surrounded by soft light and

ambient nature sounds. Perfectly timed with the calm and safety, this concert aims to create a space of inner peace and collective presence.

A conference on Japanese literature, Haiku, and a concert featuring piano and electronic sounds inspired by Haiku. Haiku is not confined to realm of Japanese literature; it invites us to sense, thought all five senses, the resonance released from the condensation between words and between sounds. Through this experience, it leads us deeper into ourselves and cultivates a stronger sense of spirituality.
